Football Banquet Sends Seniors Out in Style

West Brook's Football team threw out all the stops Wednesday evening for the annual Bruin Football Banquet. Players and their families were treated to the wisdom and insight of Judge Layne Walker, a West Brook Graduate who played on the '82 State Championship Team. Coach Stump wants to thank Judge Walker for making time to share with the Bruins.

Freshman B Team Awards went to Jonas Rayson, Kyle Coker and Zach Hollier. The Freshman A Team Awards were: Offensive MVP: Bruce Reyes, Defensive MVP: Evyn Lacy, Special Teams MVP: John Titus and Bruin Heart Award: Colin Garrett.

Rodrek "Jack" Jackson, DeQuane Bennett and Taylor Barros were recognized from the JV team. Here, Jack and DeQuane flash their high-wattage smiles.

Only the best looking Varsity Team Members were asked to sit in the front row.

Coach Jeff Nelson was quite an offensive player during his days as a Texas Aggie.

Smiles all around as Coach Johnson recognizes David Falgout as Defensive and Academic MVP.

Special Teams MVP: Jordan Garrett (The Great Numero Quatro) and Bruin Heart Award Winner: Josh Smart

Darryl Coleman is beloved in the Athletic Program for having (to quote Judge Layne Walker) "a servant's heart".

Team Captains Leighton Zeno, Mike Williams, Albert Williams, David Falgout and Josh Powdrill display the District Championship Trophy.

Judge Walker addressed Albert Williams' ability and noted that he had made a lasting impression on Walker's two sons.
